All models come equipped with a 6-speed SelectShift® automatic transmission with a new rotary gear shift dial and steering wheel paddle activation for total shifting control. The 2017 Ford Fusion has four innovative engine options that bring style under the hood:

  • 1.5L EcoBoost® with 181 horsepower and 185 lb-ft with Stop-Start technology is available on the SE
  • 2.0L EcoBoost® with 245 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque is standard on the Titanium and Platinum and available on the SE
  • 2.5L iVCT with 175 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque is standard on the S and SE
  • 2.7L EcoBoost® with 325 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque is exclusive to the Sport V6

The Fusion Hybrid option seamlessly shifts between the gasoline and electric motor. Increasing efficiency is made simple with the Fusion Energi Plug-In Hybrid, which gives you the option to charge up—or not.

Distinct yet defined, each of the options set the 2017 Ford Fusion apart from the rest. With a more aggressive wide-set stance, the AWD Sport V6 has signature LED lighting and a distinctive egg-crate grille. The Energi has the same grille but stands out in the front with magnetic paint. The Fusion Titanium also has LED fog lamps with chrome bezels while the Hybrid sports a chrome rear accent strip. Step up style and comfort with leather and heated seating in the Titanium or the leather-wrapped instrument panel and console, armrests and heated steering wheel in the Platinum model.

All models are equipped with SYNC® 3. This technology includes enhanced voice recognition allowing you to make a phone call and use Siri Eyes Free and your iPhone® seamlessly. Optional gadgets include a navigation system and the SE Technology Package, or you can go for the Platinum which comes stocked with every driver assist technology.

The innovative tech of the 2017 Ford Edge makes a solid yet adaptive combination, enhancing your ability to adapt and stay in control with Torque Vectoring Control and AdvanceTrac® ESC. The Blind Spot Information System alerts you to what you can’t see by way of lights in the either sideview mirror, and the cross-traffic alert lets you know if there is something approaching your blind spot as you back out of a parking spot. The Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection, Driver Alert System and the Lane-Keeping System keep you in the know about what is going on all around you. All models are equipped with adaptive cruise control with Stop-Start technology which uses advanced radar technology to scan for slower vehicles in front of you.
